This country retreat rests on the bank overlooking a trout stream fed by the robust Lacey Spring. Across the stream lie quiet fields with mountains in the distance. Flanking trees on the bank focus on the view of the drifting trout and poised Great Blue Heron that frequent the stream.

The glass walls of the house are oriented toward the stream on the west and, to the south, toward the winter sun.
